- **Retail and buying data.** WGSN Fashion Buying tracks SKU-level assortment and pricing across hundreds of retailers, with TrendCurve AI projections for range planning.
- **Color systems and brand weight.** Coloro, with more than 3,500 colours and physical swatch books, plus a 28-year archive and recognition across most of the world’s top fashion brands.

## Pricing

- **T-Fashion:** $999 / month. Professional is month-to-month with platform access, runway insights and shared boards for the team. Enterprise adds SSO, dedicated customer success, bespoke onboarding and early access to new features. Special pricing for fashion education.
- **WGSN:** Custom quote. WGSN states that pricing is fully customised to company size, revenue tier and geographic markets, with no per-user licensing. Contracts are annual. No price is published for the main platform. START by WGSN is a separate low-cost product for students and small businesses. Third-party reports of WGSN contract values vary widely and are not verified by T-Fashion. Ask WGSN for a quote.

## What is WGSN?

WGSN is a London-based trend forecasting company founded in 1998 and owned by Apax Funds since 2024. More than 250 in-house analysts publish forecasts for fashion, beauty, interiors, food and drink, consumer tech and sports, from three months to ten-plus years ahead. Fashion products include Fashion Design, Fashion Buying with TrendCurve AI, the Coloro color system, Pulse generative search and, from September 2026, a Catwalks AI Dashboard.

## What is T-Fashion?

T-Fashion is an AI workspace for fashion teams. It covers the collection work from trend research to tech pack: analysis of every major fashion week by the next morning, search across 550K runway photos, AI concept design with technical flats, shared moodboards, and an Agent that writes season briefs and reviews line plans and tech packs with the runway evidence cited.

## The long version

### Measurement versus editorial judgment

WGSN’s value is a point of view: analysts decide what matters and write it up, backed by five data sources and expert validation. T-Fashion’s value is measurement: every look is tagged, every signal scored, and the report is a readout of what actually walked. Neither replaces the other. Measurement is faster and verifiable. Editorial is opinionated and reaches further out.

### Overnight versus the publication cycle

T-Fashion Insights is ready the morning after each show, so a design team can react while the season is still moving. WGSN publishes on an editorial calendar, with the new Catwalks AI Dashboard narrowing the gap for raw runway data during fashion month.

### Where the design work happens

WGSN ends at the download: CADs, prints and color codes go into Illustrator or your PLM. T-Fashion keeps going: any runway look opens in Studio for concept variants and technical flats, and everything pins to a shared Moodboard the whole team can edit.

### Many industries versus the whole fashion workflow

WGSN covers six consumer industries and forecasts up to ten years out, which suits corporate strategy and multi-category groups. T-Fashion is built for fashion teams and covers the work itself: trend research, references, concepts, boards, season briefs, line plans and tech packs in one place.

### How you buy it

WGSN prices by custom quote based on company size, revenue tier and markets, on annual contracts. T-Fashion publishes $999 a month, month-to-month, so a team can validate it against a season they already know before committing a budget line.

## FAQ

**Is T-Fashion a WGSN alternative?**
It depends on what you use WGSN for. For the collection work, yes: trend research after every show, runway references, Studio concept design, shared moodboards, season briefs and line-plan and tech-pack review sit in one workspace. For long-range consumer forecasting beyond fashion, WGSN remains the broader service, and some teams keep both.

**How much does WGSN cost compared to T-Fashion?**
WGSN does not publish pricing. It quotes custom annual contracts scaled by company size, revenue and markets. T-Fashion publishes its pricing: Professional is $999 per month, month-to-month, and Enterprise is priced on request with SSO and dedicated success.

**Does T-Fashion cover as many runway shows as WGSN?**
WGSN reports a 28-year archive of more than five million catwalk images. T-Fashion covers 500 fashion weeks, 20,000+ shows and 550K runway photos, with every look tagged for silhouette, fabric, pattern and Pantone-matched color and every signal scored. The difference is structure and speed rather than raw archive size.

**What is the difference between editorial and AI trend forecasting?**
Editorial forecasting is expert judgment: analysts watch the market and write a point of view. AI trend analysis is measurement: models read every look and quantify visibility, growth and designer adoption, so a trend call carries evidence you can check against the shows. WGSN uses both, with analysts in the loop. T-Fashion is measurement-first.

**Can a design team use T-Fashion and WGSN together?**
Yes. A common setup keeps WGSN for long-range consumer direction and multi-category coverage, and adds T-Fashion for overnight runway analysis, reference search and concept work during the design cycle.

**Can we switch from WGSN mid-season?**
Yes. T-Fashion is month-to-month with no annual lock-in, and the archive covers past seasons, so your team can check the analysis against fashion weeks you already know before committing a season to it.

**When is WGSN the better choice?**
When your primary need is consumer foresight three or more years out, an editorial point of view across categories beyond fashion, SKU-level retail data for buying, or the Coloro color system. T-Fashion is the better choice when the team wants to do the collection work in one place, from trend research to tech pack.
