FAQ
T-Fashion vs EDITED
Is T-Fashion an EDITED alternative?
They do different jobs. EDITED is retail market intelligence: competitor prices, discounts and assortments across 90,000 brands, used by buying, merchandising and pricing teams. T-Fashion is where a fashion team does the collection work: trend research from every show, runway references, Studio concepts, shared moodboards, season briefs and line-plan and tech-pack review. Retailers with design and buying teams can run both.
How much does EDITED cost compared to T-Fashion?
EDITED does not publish pricing on its site. It sells the platform by quote after a demo and offers a 14-day free trial of AskEDITED. T-Fashion publishes $999 per month, month-to-month for Professional, with Enterprise on request.
Does EDITED analyze fashion week runways?
EDITED’s data comes from retail products, prices and assortments. Its analysts publish runway trend reports that pair the shows with products already selling, and myEDITED Research includes runway articles. A searchable runway archive is not listed. T-Fashion covers 500 fashion weeks and 20,000+ shows, with every look tagged and searchable.
Does T-Fashion track competitor prices and discounts?
No. T-Fashion covers the collection work, from runway research to line plans and tech packs. Agent can review a line plan for price architecture and gaps against runway evidence, but it does not track retail prices. EDITED tracks prices, discounts, promotions and new arrivals across retailers and can automate price changes.
How is AskEDITED different from T-Fashion Agent?
AskEDITED, launched in July 2026, answers plain-language questions from EDITED’s retail dataset, with its Edie agent and Workflows for recurring reports. T-Fashion Agent works from the tagged runway dataset: it researches a season, builds an editable moodboard, writes a cited season brief and reviews line plans and tech packs.
When is EDITED the better choice?
When your team buys, prices and merchandises against competitors, needs product-level retail data across apparel, beauty and home, or wants that data inside its own AI tools and data systems through MCP or the API. T-Fashion is the better choice when the work is deciding what to design and taking it from the runway to the tech pack.

The long version: definitions and full comparison
What is EDITED?
EDITED is a London retail intelligence company founded in 2009 by Geoff Watts and Julia Fowler, with offices in Dallas and Sofia. It tracks products, prices, promotions and assortments across 90,000 brands, more than 5 billion SKUs and 110 countries, with 12+ years of history in apparel, beauty and home. The Retail Intelligence Platform has Assortment, Pricing, Site Merchandising and Customer modules plus analyst research. AskEDITED, an AI assistant, launched in July 2026 and an MCP server followed in August 2026. EDITED bought DynamicAction in 2021, is backed by growth investors led by Delta-v Capital, and names Hollister, PVH, PUMA, Harrods and MANGO as customers.
What is T-Fashion?
T-Fashion is an AI workspace for fashion teams. It covers the collection work from trend research to tech pack: analysis of every major fashion week by the next morning, search across 550K runway photos, AI concept design with technical flats, shared moodboards, and an Agent that writes season briefs and reviews line plans and tech packs with the runway evidence cited.
The runway versus the market
T-Fashion starts from what designers showed, which reaches the shops months later. EDITED starts from what retailers already stock, price and discount, product by product. Design teams want the earlier view to decide what to make; buying and pricing teams want the market as it stands to decide what to buy and at what price.
Design workspace versus retail decisions
EDITED helps teams benchmark assortments, set price architecture, react to competitor discounts and automate prices and site sort orders. T-Fashion helps teams decide what to design and then do the design work: search the looks in Explore, brief Studio for variants and technical flats, pin to a shared Moodboard, and let Agent write the season brief and review the line plan and tech pack.
Two AI assistants, two datasets
AskEDITED and its Edie agent answer questions from EDITED’s retail dataset, and its MCP server brings that data into Claude, Cursor and Copilot. T-Fashion Agent works from the tagged runway dataset, so it can cite specific looks from specific shows when it writes a season brief or reviews a line plan or tech pack.
How you buy it
EDITED sells the platform by quote after a demo and offers a 14-day free trial of AskEDITED. T-Fashion publishes $999 a month, month-to-month, so a design team can start without a procurement cycle.
